The Van Tharp Institute Announces Company Closure
December 31, 2023
Our founder and leader, Dr. Van Tharp turned to light in 2022.
After his passing, we were fortunate to carry on Van’s mission of “Transformation through the trading metaphor” with the strong support of our clients, partners, coaches, and staff.
During this time, our leadership team discussed a variety of possible scenarios for VTI's future. We reflected on what best supported Van's legacy, the Tharp family, the VTI team, and our traders.
Our decision to close was very challenging to make.
However, updating the curriculum and creating new content at the Van Tharp Institute felt inauthentic without Van. We decided to preserve Van’s body of work through his original books, writings, and his home study course to ensure that we retain Van’s original “voice” as he created them.
From a holistic viewpoint, we believe that this path best supports Van’s legacy, the Tharp family, and the VTI team.
After reaching this difficult decision, we are present to three values . . .
Gratitude • Reflection • Caring Presence
Our hearts are filled with Gratitude for each one of you!
As Van Would Say...
Notice Your Thoughts & Feelings
This is a phrase Van repeated during workshops and in particular with the Super Trader students. We have to wonder if Van might be saying that right now.
As this chapter of the Van Tharp Institute comes to completion, Van’s inspired thinking is helping numerous other chapters begin in myriad new directions.
Van’s energy lives on in your hearts and minds. Be sure to share with others your story and the lessons you learned from Dr. Van K. Tharp. You will enrich their lives.
Our hearts are full of gratitude for having traveled with so many wonderful people from across the globe on your transformational journeys. Thank you.
We have had an outpouring of lovely notes and comments from so many of you. We are forever grateful to hear of the ways Van's work and VTI have touched lives and have had such a positive impact.
If you haven't done so already, we invite you to visit Van's Memorial page.
